Dave. The last few years, shetland had the best summers in the UK. this year, whilst the UK suffered from rain, shetland had almost drought conditions, although temperatures are not very high at 60' north, it was very comfortable, the highest temp.. we had was 30' degrees, but normally they would be around 19 or 20 degrees..

Thats great Dave, i think they do tours by boat, think they have a double hull, i'm sure i spotted it passing yell sound one day when i was out watching otters..

Thanks George...lovely site you have...pics are great! I'm going to start looking at my options a bit more when I get back from Scotland, but I'll probably drive as I've got too much gear to take on a plane. I've been looking at a company called Shetland Wildlife that does tours around the various places.

PS. I should have told you a wee bit about me, well most of you already know.. but for others. I'm kind'a old, seventy this year. My hobbies are photography, mainly wildlife, as you can see from my albums.. my big passion is birds and otters, but just today I eventually got my new sigma 10x20mm lens, its ultra wide, I got it for mainly taking pictures of the beautiful scenery we have all around us.. so I will have to get out and about in the coming nice weather..

Hi. All.
I'm kind'a new to all this.. but its ment to be a family type forum. so the usual T & C apply. It will probably remain a very small forum.. but you never can tell..
